EMPEY

October 17, 2005

EMPEY It is with great sadness and heartfelt sorrow that we announce that our son Noah Robert Empey passed away peacefully on October 11, 2005 at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton.  At the time of his passing, Noah was surrounded by his mommy and daddy and some family members. Born prematurely June 18, 2005 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Noah was transferred shortly after birth to the Stollery NICU unit where, a few days later, he underwent an open-heart surgery for a congenital heart defect.  After many complications that leaded to more surgeries, Noah lost his hard - fought battle.  He will always be remembered as the "little fighter" and for his big bright eyes. He is loved and will be forever missed by his parents Cliff Empey and Karine Boissonneault - Empey of Innisfail; his half-sister, Shanene; his paternal grandparents Gordon and Helen Empey of Bowden and Diana Luft of Paradise Valley, his maternal grandparents Denis and Hélène Boissonneault of Québec City, as well as great - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous family friends. We would like to thank the staff of Unit 39 at the RAH, the staff at the NICU, his primary care nurses, his doctors, the social worker, the cardiologists and the cardiac surgeons for the loving care and gentleness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Capital Health NICU, Unit 3A3 8440 - 112 Street, T6G 2B7. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (5508 - 48A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta) on Monday October 17, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Innisfail Cemetery. As a memorial tribute to Noah Empey a tree will be planted in the Tree Memorial Park (Innisfail) by HEARTLAND FUNERAL SERVICES LTD.
