SCHMIDT, Ernest (Ernie) Ernie, beloved husband of Joyce, of Bowden Alberta, passed away at the Innisfail Health Centre on May 18, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Besides his loving wife of 53 years, he is survived by two daughters, Cher (Rob) Heyser, Colleen (Joe) Ruptash as well as four grandchildren, Keri and Dana Ruptash; Scott and Kyle Heyser. His brother Reuben Schmidt of Thorsby and sister Isobella Morrie of Westbank survive Ernie. A celebration of Ernie's life will be held at the Innisfail United Church on May 23, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Bowden Friendship Centre. As a memorial tribute to Ernest Schmidt a tree will be planted in the Tree Memorial Park (Innisfail) by HEARTLAND FUNERAL SERVICES LTD.
