Romans 14:8 A loving husband, Dad, Grampa and Great Grampa went to be with his Lord on October 16, 2008. He was born on January 17, 1925 in Langham, SK. A long time resident of Red Deer and surrounding area, he owned Deer Signs for almost 20 years. He was a creative man with avid interests in woodworking, photography, painting, poetry, writing and gardening. He will be loving remembered by Olive, his wife of 58 years; his brother Ben, sons David (Gina), Walter (Jean), Ronald, Terry, Dale (Barb) and daughter Marnie (Jeff) Ackerman; grandchildren Nick and Sara, Cory (Sheila), Karen, Scott, Melissa, Jordan (Terry) Milmine, Bekki (Ryan) Brattston, Brennen (Kelsey) Ackerman, Brittney and Brent Ackerman; as well as 2 great grandchildren Brielle and Marcus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, 9 brothers and sisters and a special grandson Keith Siemens. His family members, church friends and many other longtime friends mourn his passing while they celebrate his long life of 83 years. The family wishes to express their appreciation for all the loving care shown to Dad while in Palliative care at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre. The Funeral Service for the late Ernest Siemens will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4607 47 Ave., Sylvan Lake on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Warren Kay officiating.
