MUIR (Guynup) Evelyn 1913 – 2008 Mrs. Evelyn Blanche Muir of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the age of 95 years. She is now in the presence of her Lord and savior and in the company of the many loved ones who have gone before. Evelyn, daughter of Clarence & Blanche Guynup, was born April 24, 1913 at Delburne, Alberta and was raised on the family farm in the Cumberland District. She lived every day of her life to its fullest, with gardening, curling, carpet bowling, bus trips, travel and family events. Her zest for life and positive attitude was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Maybeth Bauch (Alvin) of Hendersonville, N.C. and Grace Tenhove (John) of Red Deer, her sons, Dave Muir (Marj) of Delburne, and Al Muir (Lil) of Red Deer, her sisters, Gladys Chavigney of Powell River, B.C. and Olive Waddell of Red Deer, and her brother Ed Guynup (Irene) of Alix, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Robert, infant son Allan, sisters Pearl Munroe and Edna Grey, and brother Norman Guynup, and 4 brothers-in-law. A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer.
