FIDLER Mrs. Ivie Fidler of Penhold, Alberta, beloved wife of Tom Fidler, passed away at the Valley Park Manor on September 3, 2006 at the age of 67 years after a long battle with cancer. Ivie was born on February 1, 1939 and was raised in the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan area. She started a new chapter in her life when she moved from Saskatchewan to Alberta in 1963 to be with her future husband Tom. On April 30, 1965, Ivie married the love of her life Tom Fidler and the two started their young lives together in Red Deer. They were blessed with their only daughter Cheryl in 1971. Ivie enjoyed spending time with her family, volunteering her time while Cheryl was in school and as well with the Guiding movement, which Cheryl was a part of. As the years went by, they moved from Red Deer to Penhold. Ivie and Tom enjoyed camping, Sunday drives around "the loop" and watching her favorite hockey team The Calgary Flames. Ivie's memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 41 years Tom Fidler of Penhold, one daughter Cheryl (fiancé Harry) of Calgary and one sister Linda (Irving) Johnson along with Linda's family of Leske, Saskatchewan.
