BROWN (LACHMAN) Florence April 12, 1931 – April 14, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Florence Brown on April 14, 2006. She was the devoted wife of the late Henry Brown for 35 years. Her passing is mourned by her daughter Judy Monahan (Stephen Levasseur), grandson Daniel Monahan; her sons by marriage Bill (Marion) Brown, Howard (Boneda)Brown, Bob Brown, Chuck Brown and her daughters by marriage Audrey (Eric) Brade, Sandra (Gord)McIntyre, and their children and grandchildren; brother Charles(Sheila)Lachman in addition to many other dear relatives and friends. Florence was born to a farming family and grew up east of Olds, Alberta. She was the youngest child of Herbert and Ada Lachman. She will join her sisters Mildred Stelter, Helen Neilson, Hazel Milne, Gladys Switzer, and Ruth Harper to rest with the Lord. Florence married Henry in November 1970 to continue a life of dairy farming and caring for her family. Mom loved to camp, travel and grow plants. She enjoyed the beauty in God’s world, especially flowers, and dreamed of having her own rose garden. Florence was a quiet and joyful woman with a gentle nature and a pure heart full of love. Florence battled breast cancer in 2004 only to find the cancer had reappeared in a brain tumor and in her bones. The family is sincerely grateful for the caring and compassion shown by her nurses and doctors who looked after her in her final days. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Olds, Alberta with Pastor Al Griffin officiating. Interment to follow in the Carstairs Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. As a tribute to Florence Brown, a tree will be planted in the Heartland Tree Memorial Park, Olds. Heartland Funeral Services Ltd., Olds entrusted with arrangements. 403-507-8610
