HOWSE Florence Howse of Lacombe, Alberta, formerly of Eckville, Alberta, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at the age of 96. Florence was born at Pakan, Alberta on September 30, 1907. She lived for many years in the Vilna, Raven and Eckville, Alberta areas. Florence was predeceased by her loving husband Frank Howse on February of 1991, her daughter Verland Whitford on September 15, 2004, her parents, brothers and sisters, son-in-law and grandsons. Florence is survived by her son Gary (Mary) Howse of Eckville, her daughter Bonnie (Larry) Stright of Edson, brother-in-law Jim (Lucille) Howse of Spruce Grove, AB. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. At Florences's request there will not be a funeral service. Florence will be cremated and a private immediate family internment will follow at the Raven, Alberta Cemetery. A memorial will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 2:00 pm. at the Hespero, Alberta Hall with a lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lacombe Alberta Hospital Extended Care or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
