DIETRICH Gail Marie Dietrich was born in High River, AB on June 8, 1952. Gail was received into heaven on Feb. 29, 2008 at the age of 55. There to greet her with open arms as she came running were her father, Alfred Dietrich, her sister, Linda Pothier, her nephew, Ryan Pothier, her grand parents, numerous aunts and uncles, relatives and friends. She is survived by her mother, Doris Dietrich; her brothers and sisters, (Brian) Pothier, Lyle (Sandy) Dietrich, Steven (Sharon) Dietrich, Marie (Frank) Harris, Ann (Alan) Riddle and Dan (Lorie) Dietrich; her nieces and nephews, Angela, Kim, Kris, Michelle, Jessica, Travis, Carley, Cassandra, Colbey, Aaron, Angelina, Tyler, and Kendra. Gail lived in Turner Valley until the age of 8 and moved to Didsbury in 1960. She took art lessons from Joyce Mullen (Muller) in the 70's. She attended Horizon School in Olds for 13 years, where she loved ceramics and music, then graduated in 1983. She continued her love of ceramics with Ray Groff in Didsbury for numerous years after. Gail's first big adventure was to Disneyland in 1998. She joined the Olds Association for Community Living in 1999, where she enjoyed bingo, bowling, music, trips to Red Deer to see movies and shop in the mall. She could be seen working up town in Didsbury Drugs. Gail was a world traveler; she has been from one coast to the other. She has been to the southern tip of the United States, England and Portugal where she visited the Shrine of Fatima. Gail could often be seen up town greeting everyone with a big smile. Her happiness was contagious. She enjoyed going to the local band concerts, where she loved to watch her nieces and nephews play and sing along. You could find her at the race track watching her Uncle Ron and family get the horses ready and cheering on the horses in every race. Gail's was well known for her faith. You could find her in the front pew in church singing her favorite hymns at the top of her lungs and grinning from ear to ear. If she saw that someone was hurt or sick, even if they were a stranger, she would want to pray for them. She had the purest of hearts and loved everyone. Gail was God's special angel on earth, she has touched so many people in her lifetime, some we know about and others we will never know about, that is between her and God. Although we will miss her greatly, heaven will shine a lot brighter with her there.
