Gary BERG

BERG Gary "Puffer" Berg of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at the age of 56 years. Gary was born in Frontier, Saskatchewan in 1951. He started farming and soon met Gail. In 1976 they were married. In 1978 they moved to Red Deer where Gary took an active roll in the Oil Industry. Gary’s jobs took him many places allowing both he and Gail to experience living in such places as; Singapore, Indonesia and Yemen for different periods of time. He was an avid hunter and golfer and any spare time was spent doing these activities. Gary loved his friends and family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Gary fought a two year battle with cancer. He never gave up and always showed a positive attitude. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 31 years, Gail, his mother, Alice Berg of Frontier, Saskatchewan, four brothers; Wayne (Marcia) Berg of Calgary, Ronnie (Marilyn) Berg of Calgary, Terry (Sheri) Berg of Okotoks and Chris Berg of Medicine Hat and five sisters; Shari (Mick) Leden of Frontier, Saskatchewan, Donna (Phil) Meyers of Frontier, Saskatchewan, Bonnie (Derek) Evenson of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Trina (Chris) Gryde of Climax, Saskatchewan and Nyla Berg of Frontier, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his father, Edward and one sister, Judy. A Memorial Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 – 67 Street) on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in memory of Gary Berg can be made to the charity of one’s choice or to the Red Deer and District S.P.C.A (4505 - 77 Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4P 2J1).
