BARRETT, Gordon Mr. Gordon Charles Barrett, beloved husband of Mrs. Elaine Barrett of Penhold, passed away suddenly with his family by his side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, January 28, 2005 at the age of 68 years. Gordon was born on November 2, 1936 at Alhambra, Alberta. He was a loving husband and a devoted father who cared deeply for his family. Gordon had a quiet gentleness about himself and he enjoyed keeping busy with his woodworking in his spare time. He was very skilled with his handiwork and made many beautiful pieces of woodwork for his family to enjoy. Gordon will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Gordon leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, Elaine of Red Deer and his children; son, James Barrett of Calgary, Alberta and daughters, Lorrie (Todd) Schmalenberg of Regina, Saskatchewan, Brenda (Trevor) Wheeler of Stony Plain, Alberta, Sherry Barrett of Red Deer and Terry (Neil) Richmond of Jean Coté, Alberta and ten grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Catherine Noble of Drumheller, Alberta, as well as many good friends. Gordon was predeceased by his parents and a brother. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Community Fellowship, 208, 4711 - 51st Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. A Private Family Interment was held at the Horn Hill Cemetery, Penhold, Alberta.
