Gordon ELLIOT

ELLIOT Gordon Grant Elliot born May 29, 1945. Grant passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice with his loving family by his side on July 24, 2006. He is survived by his loving partner Bess Rasmussen of Red Deer, 3 sons Greg (Mary Jean), Teddy, Bradley (Colleen), 5 step daughters Capri (Jason), Carmen (Ricky), Madeline, Emily and Sammy and 7 grandchildren. Also survived by 2 brothers Milton (Patti), John (Lynn), 3 sisters, Terry (Frank), Bev (Greg), Dixie (Clarence). He was predeceased by his mother Florence in 1977 and his father John in 1995. Grant was raised on a farm in the Aurora district where he spent all his school years before heading out into the work force. After various jobs in the oilfield Grant started working at Strachan Gas Plant Construction in 1970 for Quinn Construction. After the plant construction Grant was hired on for Gulf Strachan and remained there for 31 years, retiring in 2001. He then worked small jobs in Rocky until 2004. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 28, 2006 at 2 PM. at Legion Veteran's Hall in Rocky Mountain House.
