HUMBKE Gordon Earl Humbke of Red Deer went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the age of 87 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret of Red Deer; children, Paula (Dallas) McDonald of Red Deer, Bruce (Becky) Humbke of Calgary, Loretta Stanley of Red Deer, Nikki Underwood of Red Deer and Andy (Loretta) Humbke of Red Deer. His memory will also be cherished by eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren as well as one brother, Conrad Humbke of Vancouver, B.C., and one sister, Dorothy Gallant of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Gordon was predeceased by his sisters; Florence, Elsie, Norma and Myrtle as well as three brothers, Henry, Richard and Fritz. Gordon was most unique - He was a very faithful husband and dad. He translated the love of our heavenly Father to human terms to his family, neighbors and friends. I Corinthians 13 - The Love Chapter, was his guide for his life. A Funeral Service for Gordon will be held from Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Blvd, Red Deer, AB on Monday, December 18th, 2006 at l:00 p.m. with the Reverend James Schuelke officiating.
