Grete SANDER

SANDER, Grete Grete Bodil Sander, beloved wife of Mogens Sander of Red Deer, passed away suddenly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at the age of 74 years, with her family by her side. Grete is survived and sadly missed by her husband and partner in life for close to 55 years, Mogens Sander of Red Deer, her daughter Ann (Dwayne) Hoopfer of Calgary, her daughter Liz (Bob) Smith of Red Deer and her son Alan (Kathryn) Sander of Spruce Grove. Grete is also survived by her dear grandchildren, Shane (Debbie) of Calgary, Travis (Richelle) of Airdrie, Kirsten and Cody of Edmonton as well as Lee and Erica of Spruce Grove. Grete was predeceased by her brother Villy in 1997 and her brother Hartmand on November 11, 2004 both in Denmark. Grete was born in Denmark on June 17, 1930 she came to Canada with her husband on their honeymoon trip in 1951. Grete loved the outdoors and her garden; she had many hobbies that she enjoyed very much. Grete was a kind, affectionate and graceful lady that was loved and respected by all who knew her. Honouring the wishes of Grete, she has been cremated and there will be no funeral. A private Graveside Service will follow at a later date. If desired, memorial donations in Grete's honour may be made directly to the Central Alberta Cancer Centre, 3942 - 50A Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4N 6R2.
