February 22, 2007

GROSS The family of Brenda Miriam Gross (Roger) announces her peaceful passing at home on February 18, 2006. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Gordon Gross. Her children Doug Gross, Wendy Mosier (Brian Mehle), Debbie Berlinguette (Mark), David Gross. Grandchildren, Tim Baergen, Colin and Mackenzie Bouteiller, Amy Lynn and Kaylin Berlinguette. Brother, Bill Rodger (Luisa) of Richmond, B.C. and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Brenda was predeceased by parents David Rodger (1970) and Doris Rodger (2005). Brenda moved to Lacombe in 1952 where her parents opened Rodger's Home Furniture. Brenda was an accomplished concert pianist and shared her gift with others while teaching piano. Brenda got her nursing license in 1960 and spent many years caring for people. In 1975 Gordon and Brenda moved to Red Deer where they raised their family. Brenda's pride and joy was her family, she was easy to spot in the crowd at one of her children's/grandchildren's event as she was the proud lady with the biggest smile. Ongoing health issues ended her beloved nursing career in 1991. Since Gordon's retirement in 2005 he was provided full time care to honor her wish of remaining at home. After so many years of struggling, her family is comforted that she is finally at peace in the arms of her Eternal Father. Gratefully remembering the continual care provided by Dr's Colin Holmes and Don McLean. A celebration of Brenda's life will take place Friday, February 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Know Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
