HANDFORD, 1925 - 2007 Mrs. Doris Alberta Handford was born in Red Deer on July 21, 1925, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at the age of 81 years. Doris is survived by her three sons; Doug (Joan) of Red Deer, Larry (Brenda) of Camrose and Dennis (Heidy) of Calgary, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Stan (Gwen) Tetley, two sisters, Fern Solty and Moira (John) Jackson, all of Red Deer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. Doris was predeceased by her husband, George in 1966 and a sister, May Mohr in 2002. A Public Funeral Service will be held at St. Leonard's On-The-Hill Anglican Church, 4241 - 44th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Doris will be lovingly laid to rest beside her beloved husband, George in the Red Deer Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. In place of flowers, Memorial Donations in Doris's honour may be made directly to a Charity of the donor's choice.
