COOPER Harold Leslie 1916- 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Leslie Cooper, announce his sudden passing at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at the age of 91 years. Harold was born in Coronation, Alberta on January 14, 1916. He was a member of the Calgary Tanks during World War II and saw action in Dieppe, Sicily, Ortona Italy and Europe. Harold married his sweet heart, Eva on December 15, 1945 in Toronto. After the war Harold worked for Advanced Electric and AGT until his retirement in 1976. Harold loved to play his banjo and played with the Golden Music Makers band. Eva and Harold also enjoyed traveling the world, enjoying what life had to offer. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Eva (McMurray), a daughter Janelle (Jim) LaMontagne, two grandchildren, Jason and Jalene LaMontagne, two sisters, Alita Matthews and Marion Kandt. Harold was predeceased by his beloved son, Wayne Richard Cooper in 1966, a sister, Mildred Harrington, his parents, Laura and Leslie Cooper, his in-laws, Annie and Richard McMurray of Toronto, Ontario. Harold’s dedication to his family, church, friends, community and his sense of humor will live on in our memories forever. A Private Family Service will be held at, Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Donations in Harold’s honour may be made directly to the, Knox Presbyterian Church, 4718 Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 1X2. Harold will be greatly missed by all.
