HAYNES On June 26, 2006 Winifred Florence Haynes passed away at the Lacombe Hospital Care Centre. She faced the final challenges of her life with the same resolute, faith in God and determination that she had shown during her 87 years. Florence is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Dr. Ralph Haynes; children Roland, Miriam, Joy (Gilmore), Jessie; grandchildren, Jason, Michael and Charece; 2 sisters; five brothers; a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Byron. Florence touched many lives during the 20 years that she taught in the County of Lacombe. When she 'retired' from the classroom she emerged as the Office Manager of her husband's Optometric practice in High Prairie, Alberta. Along with her husband, Florence returned to Lacombe in 1993 where they have since resided.
