BILLINGS Hazel Emma Billings passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Red Deer Regional Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Hazel was born at Unity, Saskatchewan on March 19, 1919 to John and Molly Phelan. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Lloyd, one brother, Jim and one sister, Harriet. Hazel leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, BJ (Barbara) and Del (Dixie), three granddaughters, Tara (Gary) Richardson, Jodi (John) Billings-Clark, and Kelsey Pruden, five great grandchildren, brother Harry (Gladys) and sister Jean (Gilbert) Marshall, as well as many nieces and nephews, and cherished friends. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Parkland Funeral Home on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 7:00 pm. Hazel's life will be celebrated on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67A Avenue, Red Deer, conducted by the Reverend Fran Hare. Internment to follow at the Red Deer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations will gratefully accepted in Hazel's name by the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Avenue, T4R 3S6.
