HENRY 1925- 2008 Mr. Arnold Stuart Henry, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Arnold was born on November 10, 1925 at home in the Cornation, Alberta area. He married his beloved Clara Formanek on August 28, 1949. Arnold enjoyed his many years spent farming, raising crops, hogs and cattle. Starting off in the Talbot area, the family then moved to the Alix area in 1953 and onto their permanent farm in the area in 1955 where Arnold continued on with his passion for farming. Arnold farmed on the banks of the Red Deer River until retiring to Red Deer in 1992, but continuing to farm until 1999. Some of his other interests included curling and crib matches over the winter months. After retirement Arnold always looked forward to going to the farm and ride the quad through the fields and river banks checking on the crops and cattle. He enjoyed spending time with others, the group that he had coffee with at the Bower mall, his children, his ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all that knew him. Arnold is survived by his wife, Clara of 58 years, his daughter, Marilyn (Duane) Carson of Red Deer, his son, Larry (Joanne) Henry of Alix, two brothers, Vic (Irma) Henry and Roy Henry. He was predeceased by his son, Vernon in 2002. A Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium.
