CODY Ida May Mom has gone home. Mom was born nearly 95 years ago on May 1, 1911 in Red Deer and passed away peacefully at the Rosefield Center Innisfail, AB with her daughters by her side. She is survived by three daughters; Joyce and Nick Ilcisin of Red Deer, Betty MacDonald and Mary and John Davidson of Calgary, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and three great, great granddaughters. One sister, Doris Hall of Maple Ridge, BC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Allen - 1989; infant daughter Bonnie – 1948; daughter and son-in-law Dixie and Ed O'Neill – 1982; son-in-law Ian MacDonald – 1983; and her brother Howard Henderson. Mom was raised in the Springvale District, eldest daughter of Archie and Minnie Henderson. She lived her entire life in Red Deer and area. Our family would like to acknowledge with sincere gratitude the loving care Mom received while residing at the Rosefield Center and to all of the staff our sincere thanks. A Homecoming Celebration of Mom's life will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rosefield Center CI Unit (5023 - 42 Street, Innisfail, AB); S.T.A.R.S.
