DERKACH, Irene Mary Irene Mary Derkach of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, November 22, 2004 at the age of 84 years. Irene is formerly from Elfros, Saskatchewan. She was born in Stockholm, Saskatchewan on August 17, 1920 to Mike and Elizabeth Rusnak. Irene will be remembered by; Merv (Lynn ) Zaitz of Red Deer, Erv (Karen) Zaitz of Brandford, Ontario, Doug Zaitz of Edmonton, Eric (Sharon) Zaitz of Ingersol, Ontario, Darren, Jim, Kara, Leanne, Ava, Kristi, Michael, Sierra and Quinton. She is also survived by two brothers; Joe Rusnak of Edmonton and Mike (Vicki) Rusnak of Endeavor, Saskatchewan, two sisters; Mary Vanchu of Regina and Helen Evans of Edmonton, one brother-in-law, Walter Krushelniski of Regina as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her beloved partner, Basil Zaitz, her parents; Mike and Elizabeth Rusnak, three sisters; Margaret Holhauser, Elizabeth Semeniuk and Georgeina Krushelniski and three brothers-in-law. A Graveside Service will be held at the Red Deer Cemetery on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Richard Duffin officiating.
