LAW Jean Russell Law (nee Allen) March 13, 1908 - April 28, 2006 Jean R. Law passed away quietly on Friday April 28, 2006 following a short illness at Capital Care Lynnwood, Edmonton, Alberta. Jean will be sadly missed by family and friends. She leaves to mourn her loving daughter Margaret Friedman and son, Allen both of Edmonton, brother George (Rita), nieces Sharon (Errol) and family, Maureen (Blaine) and family, and nephew Douglas Allen and many nieces and nephews in Alberta and B.C., Ontario and Ireland. She was predeceased by her parents May and George Allen, husband Cecil and son-in-law Dr. Morris H.W. Friedman. Born in Old Strathcona, Alberta, Jean spent her childhood in Edmonton and area, Norfolk, Virginia, US, later moving to the Clive area. She married Cecil M. Law and the couple farmed in the Clive area for 65 years. Jean was an active member of the Clive community. She was a member of the Clive United Church and WA for many years. She loved music, was a fine pianist, loved literature and a very fine horse. Jean and Cecil traveled extensively - Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, US and Canada. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 5, 2006 at St. Andrew's United Church 5226-51 Ave. Lacombe, AB at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Lacombe Fairview Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Andrew's United Church Auditorium.
