TURNEY Jean Dean On November 28th, 2007 Mrs. Jean Dean Turney of Mayerthorpe, Alberta passed away at the age of 100 Years. Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, her loving family, daughter Gloria (Bill) Wesley of Forestburg, Alberta, daughter Joyce (Bill) Townsend of Shining Bank, Alberta and son Bix Turney of Red Deer, Alberta. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and numerous great grand children and great great grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1972, her parents Mabel and Archibald Cameron, her grandsons Wayne Armstrong in 1996 and Larry Wesley in 2007, great grandson Dean Armstrong in 1996, as well as siblings John Cameron, Vera Weir, Mabel Hellekson, Oriel Cameron and Katheryn Cameron. Funeral services for Jean Dean Turney will take place on Tuesday, December 4th, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Fulham Community Hall with Lothar Landsberg officiating. Interment will follow in the Shining Bank Cemetery, Shining Bank, Alberta. In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests donations be directed to The Mayerthorpe Extended Care Centre , 4417 - 45 Street, Mayerthorpe, Alberta, T0G 1R0 or to the Spruce View Senior's Lodge, 12 Sunset Blvd., Whitecourt, Alberta, T7S 1S9 in memory of Jean Dean Turney.
