Jerome HEEMERYCK

November 20, 2006

HEEMERYCK, Jerome Adelard Jan. 15, 1915 - Nov. 17, 2006 Our precious husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather has quietly and peacefully passed away. After 66 years of happy marriage, he will always be remembered and missed by his devoted wife Alice. Dad was born January 15, 1915 at Lamoureux, Alberta and spent his early years in many parts of Alberta. As a young man he settled in Saunders Creek to work in the coal mine and there he met and married his wife Alice on November 10, 1940. The desire to farm urged Dad and Mom to move to Alix in 1951 where he farmed until his health forced him to retire from farming in 1975 and move into the town of Alix. His retirement from farming gave Dad many regrets but also the opportunity to build their house on the lake and enjoy many fishing trips and camping holidays with his family and friends. A move to Lacombe in the late '80's saw Dad reside here for the remainder of his life. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Alice; his son Jerome (Gloria) and daughter Sharon Ramstad; grandchildren Dwayne, Reggie, Maurita, and Elise; and great grandchildren Darren, Ashley, Ryley, Logan, Cory, Abatha, and Rita. Dad is survived by his brother George (Mary), sisters Margaret Mathias and Rose Shantz, and sisters-in-law Edna and Lorna and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers Bruno and Albrice and two brothers-in-law and Trevor Mathias and Ben Shantz. A Celebration of Dad's life will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at St.Cyprian's Anglican Church, 5005 C & E Trail, Lacombe, Alberta. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to wfch@telusplanet.net (Subject: Heemeryck).
