WOHLERS, Jerry Robert
January 1, 1952 - April 16, 2017
With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce that our family has lost a wonderful man. Jerry passed away suddenly on Easter Sunday after a lengthy battle with COPD at the age of 65. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Kathy; his children: Chance; Lee (Tanner); daughter-in-law Sharla (Curtis); treasured grandchildren: Cooper, Langely, Jake, and Kaleb; mother Florence; brother Chuck; mother in law Margaret; sister in laws: Lorraine (Donnie), Ann and their families; as well as extended family and very dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his father Arnold; father in-law Albert; and mentor Don Lyons. Jerry worked in "the patch" for his entire career. He began working in Resolute Bay in 1970, and then continued to work all over western Canada, as well as, Russia and Africa. He was a proud family man and friend. He enjoyed the mountains, horseback riding, travelling, history, reading, writing, and playing cards. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Alliance Community Church, 4404 - 47 Avenue, Sylvan Lake.
