With sadness, we announce the passing of Joanne (nee Gogol) Christenson on May 17, 2017 in Lacombe, AB. She was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Hudson Bay, SK and was the oldest of eleven children. Joanne is survived by her loving daughters, Lorna (Jim) Fernie and LaDelle (Paul) Ganter; her loving son, Barry Christenson; seven grand-children; sixteen great grand-children; six of her sisters; as well as numerous extended family and dear friends. Joanne was predeceased by her daughter, Joy Christenson; as well as three sisters and her brother. A Funeral Service will take place at Lacombe Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 5810 - 45 Avenue, Lacombe, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial Donations may be directed to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta at www.heartandstroke.ca or to the Voice of Prophecy at www.voiceofprophecy.com.
