John LINDMAN

LINDMAN John Lindman passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on February 7, 2005 at the age of 85 years. John was born on June 14, 1919 at the family farm in the Burnt Lake District. He attended school at Sylvan Lake and began farming at the age of 16. In 1942, he married Molly Frisch. He operated as a farmer and cattle dealer until his retirement in 1974. John was always active in community affairs; he was a founding member of the Credit Union, belonged to many community organizations, and was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. He always maintained an interest in local history and could entertain his friends with a good story or two. John is lovingly remembered by his son, Murray (Edith) Lindman; his daughter, Doris (George) Bishop; his grandson, Rick (Shiela) Paulson, his granddaughter, Katherine (Brendan) Cassidy, as well as many other family members and friends. John was predeceased by his wife, Molly Lindman; his parents, Axel John Lindman and Maria Charlotte Lindholm; and his sisters, Esther (August) Knoepfli, Ruth, Florence (Carl) Anderson and Olga (Sid) Thompson. Funeral Services for the late Mr. John Lindman will be held at the Presbyterian Church, Sylvan Lake, Alberta on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Bob Wilson officiating.
