NORTH, John John Lawrence (Larry) North, formerly of Yellowknife, Red Deer, and Sudbury passed away on September 8, 2004 at Tumbler Ridge, B.C. at the age of 65 years. He retired from the Government of the Northwest Territories in 2002.
He is survived by three sons, Scott Giambattista of Calgary, Mark North of Red Earth Creek, Alberta, Kevin North of Swift Current, Saskatchewan; daughter Dana Joyner (Brian) of Burnaby, B.C.; sister Janet Kingsley (Bob) of Ottawa; brothers Rick North and Bill Giambattista of Windsor, David Giambattista of Prescott, Ontario, and Tom (Yvonne) Giambattista of Sudbury, Ontario; grandchildren Tylor and Chelsea North, and great-granddaughter Jaden North. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Giambattista, and brother Joe Giambattista.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service in the mountains he loved. Memorial donations may be made directly to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Expres-sions of sympathy can be emailed to:
