PROSPERO, Joseph (Joe)

Joe Prospero, beloved husband and best friend of Barb Prospero, of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at home at the age of 73 years with his wife at his side.

He was the loving father of Robert (Diane) Prospero of Red Deer, Lisa (Doug) Spicer of Red Deer, Lana (Brendan) Neibrandt of Fort McMurray. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren - the light of his life - Brittney Prospero (Tony), Jessica Prospero (Tanner), Stefanie Spicer, Lauren Spicer, Paige Neibrandt and Dawson Neibrandt.

He will also be remembered by his sisters Rose (Frank) Grace, Rita (Jack); brother Gino (Liz) and so many other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, infant granddaughter Erika Spicer and sister in law Maureen Tymchuk.

Joe was born in Monterotondo, Italy and came to Canada as a 12 year old. Joe and Barb moved from Toronto to Lacombe, AB in 1971 and then to Red Deer. Joe was a Sherriff's Officer in Red Deer for 12 years, however was always a car salesman at heart. He was a member of the Kinsmen Club of Red Deer for 19 years and a Life Member of The Knights of Columbus council 9559 in Red Deer.

Prayer Service for Joe will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 45St on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 7:00p.m.

Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Ave on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 1:00p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Red Deer or the charity of the donor's choice.
