GIBBINGS Joshua Allan Warren ‘Josh’ Gibbings of Calgary, Alberta (formerly of Red Deer) passed away suddenly and tragically, doing what he loved at Kananaskis Country, Alberta on Monday, July 11, 2005 at the age of 21 years. Josh was born on April 28, 1984 at Eckville, Alberta. He was a wonderful, kind, caring and loving grandson and son, and a true friend to all others. Josh was a talented and brilliant young man who just graduated from S.A.I.T. with his degree in Architecture in June. From a young age, Josh always excelled at math and drawing, which led him to his chosen career. Josh was a very dedicated, committed and hardworking person who gave his all to everything he did. He loved the outdoors and was a great sportsman. He enjoyed golfing, tennis, hockey, skiing and hiking. Josh our beloved and cherished son, “You have left a loving and everlasting impression upon our hearts and our souls. We will miss you more than any words can express… We Love You with all our of hearts, Josh – You will never be forgotten.” Josh leaves to mourn his loss, his loving mother, Sharon (who did a phenomenal job of raising such an admirable and loving young man) and his loving father, Jeff Gibbings, both of Red Deer, his grandmother, Dorothy Thompson of Clinton, Ontario, his aunts and uncles; Larry Thompson of Grand Bend, Ontario, Ken (Mary) Gibbings, also of Clinton, Debbie (John) Preston of Ontario, Nancy (Elgin) Deering of Dublin, Ontario, Leonard (Pat) Thompson of London, Ontario, Vernie (Debbie) Thompson, also of Clinton, Barb Thompson (Bob) and Mike (Tine) Gibbings, both of Sarnia Ontario, Tony (Lisa) Gibbings of Ontario, Doug (Francis) Thompson of Clinton and many, many special friends. Josh was predeceased by his grampa, Manford Thompson and his loving companion and best friend who left this world by his side, Shawna Demmers. A Public Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
