JACOBSON, Kenneth Mr. Kenneth Rodeen Jacobson (Child of God), beloved husband of Mrs. Joyce Jacobson (nee Janke) (Sunshine of his life) of Red Deer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at the age of 81 years. Ken was born on November 12, 1922 at Tribune, Saskatchewan. He worked for the Department of Highways for fifteen years but farming was the highlight of his life. Ken was very committed and very active in his church throughout his life, wherever his lived. He touched the hearts of many people, youth and adults alike with his gentle and loving personality. Ken will be deeply and sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Ken leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, Joyce of Red Deer and his loving children, Dwight (Julie) Jacobson of Chestermere, Alberta, Lyle (Joyce) Jacobson of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Gloria (Darryl) Kallis of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Lane (Avis) Jacobson of Taber, Alberta and Glenda (Steve) Jacobs of Red Deer, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister and two brothers,

two brothers-in-law and

three sisters-in-law and their spouses. Ken was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a brother-in-law. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday evening between the hours of 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at the Church of Christ, 68 Donlevy Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, September 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with John Smith (Minister) officiating. Additional Service to be held at the Church of Christ, 1115 - 1st Avenue NE, Weyburn, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Fletcher Funeral Chapels, 237 - 4th Street NE, Weyburn, Saskatchewan on Monday, September 27, 2004 between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the St. John's Cemetery, Beaubier, Saskatchewan following the Weyburn Funeral Service. The Family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Ken's extended family who are the Staff of the Red Deer Nursing Home (Southside) for their loving care to both Ken and all of his family.
