SPENCER, Kenneth Mr. Kenneth Virgil (Ken) Spencer, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Lillian Spencer of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Didsbury Long Term Care Facility, Didsbury, Alberta on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the age of 90 years. Ken was born on May 3, 1914 at Fleet, Alberta. Ken spent most of his adult life in Red Deer with his wife and family. After his retirement from McDonald's Consolidated, he enjoyed traveling and was an avid gardener and spent many hours creating in his workshop. Ken will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his family and dear friends. Ken leaves to mourn his loss, his loving children, Doug (Shirl) Spencer of Mississauga, Ontario, Karen (Ted) Sinclair of Eckville, Alberta, Laine (Larry) Leithead of Calgary, Alberta and Lynn (Bill) Cook of Calgary, Alberta, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Alice Hays of Airdrie, Alberta and Jean Clark of Vancouver Island, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lillian in 1990, a brother, Keith Spencer and a sister, Kay Wetter. A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 35, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
