WARKENTIN Kenneth Leon Warkentin passed away peacefully on August 29, 2008 at the Three Hills Hospital. He was born December 10, 1930, in the town of Sunnyslope, Alberta. Ken farmed in Sunny- slope and north of Debolt in the Puskwaskau area, before retiring to Calgary and finally living at the Linden Seniors Lodge. Ken was known for his sense of humour and love of baseball. Ken is survived by his brother, Harvey Warkentin and Harvey's wife, Bernice. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Barry Sheppard, Kathy Sheppard, Dwayne Warkentin, Reg Warkentin, Holly Speer (Warkentin), Dawn Warkentin; and their families. Ken is predeceased by his father, Peter Warkentin; his mother, Tina Warkentin; his sister, June Sheppard; and his nephew, Peter Sheppard. The family extends special thanks to Annette Thiessen, Ken's caregiver, and the Linden Lodge Team for all their wonderful care and attention.
