KNOPP 1962- 2008 Marta Kristine Knopp (nee Rozic), beloved wife of Donnie Knopp of Red Deer, passed away as a result of Cancer at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at the age of 45 years. Marta was born on April 20, 1962 at Edmonton, Alberta and resided in Red Deer until her passing. She worked at the Red Deer Lodge for twenty-four years, before retiring in 2005. Marta enjoyed selling Avon, which allowed her to meet new people and spend time with family and friends. She loved to go camping and travel, with her favorite holiday spot being the Fairmont Hot Springs. Marta loved her three cats, Tigger, Max and Ginger and the time she got to spend curled up with them. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Donnie Art Knopp, her loving parents, Barbara and John Rozic, her brother and best friend, Ivan (Leesa) Rozic and their children, Rachal, Ryan and Faith, her mother and father-in-law, Reinhold and Anne Knopp, a brother-in-law, Larry (Sharon) Knopp and their family, a sister-in-law, Debbie Vlahovic and her family all of Red Deer. Marta is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Slovenia and close family friend, John Kendrick of Innisfail. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Doug Vahey and her grandmother, Dorothy Vahey.
