KNUTSON

January 2, 2007

KNUTSON It is with overwhelming sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bernt Mons Knutson on December 27, 2006. Bernt was born on October 12, 1935 to Mons and Irene Knutson at Ceylon Sask. He grew up on the prairies of Saskatchewan and his stories of his childhood were a testament to his energetic, active and enjoyable life there. In 1952 he made his way to Alberta and met and married the love of his life, Eleanor Joan Scott in Innisfail on September 15, 1956. In 1966, they established their businesses, Innisfail Transfer and Loadmasters Int'. They worked together in the family business and in time were joined by their children Carrie and Scot. Bernt loved working with his family and could always be counted on to somehow find a way to "make everything better." His positive attitude and easy going nature will truly be missed by all who knew him, and treasured by those who loved him. Bernt leaves his loving wife of over 50 years Eleanor; his daughter Carrie and her husband Miles Klevgaard of Innisfail; his son Scot and his wife Shannon, and two very cherished granddaughters Madison and Reese of Calgary. As well, he is survived by a brother Maynard (Isabel) Nordine of London Ont.; sisters Hilda (Arnie) Mac Naught and Karen (Carson) Fedyna all of Calgary. He also leaves behind sister-in-law Shirley Rabel of Airdrie, Ora Scott of Innisfail, and Jim (Barb) Scott of Innisfail. There are many nieces and nephews that will miss "Uncle Bernt". He is predeceased by his parents Mons and Irene Knutson; his father and mother-in-law Harry and Grace Scott and his brother-in-law Paul Rabel.
