LANGRIDGE, Mrs. Patricia Mary ‘Pat’ Langridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Alfred Langridge of Red Deer, passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with illness, at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta on Friday, July 22, 2005 at the age of 80 years. Pat was born on March 12, 1925 at Middlesex, England. She was very proud of her father’s Irish Heritage and was also very politically minded. Pat was a very loving, devoted and exceptional mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to be surrounded by her family. She loved to bake for her family, her chocolate steamed puddings were a special favorite to all. Pat had a wonderful sense and love of nature and she especially loved the splendor of trees. Her fun loving and delightful spirit will be very sadly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her loving family and dear friends. Pat leaves to mourn her loss, her loving children, Judy (Mike) Tucker of Red Deer, Terry (Kathy) Langridge of Blenheim, Ontario and Pam Langridge, also of Red Deer, her grandchildren, Wendy (Ken) McDougall, Kim (Daryl) Smith, Teresa (Darryl) Lindballe, Jody (Greg) Beecroft, Gregory, Allison and Peter, her great grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer and Amber, Ryan and Alicia, Casey Jean and Erik, Joshua and Jenna and her great great grandson, Bailey. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Sheila Birchall of London, Ontario, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred. Prayers will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 – 48A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
