Lemuel BROYDELL

BROYDELL Lemuel “Lem” Dibbon Broydell of Red Deer, formerly of Lewin’s Cove, Newfoundland, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at the age of 71 years. While in Newfoundland, Lem was a fireman, but he decided to follow his dream and move out west to Alberta to pursue a career as a chef. He loved volunteering his time at the Red Deer Bingo Centre to help out countless organizations, such as the Red Deer Regional Hospital, that benefit from bingo profits. Lemuel leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife Anna Broydell of Red Deer, two sons; James Broydell of Calgary, and Ernest (Colleen) Broydell of Medicine Hat, five daughters; Phyllis (Jim Keats) Broydell of Red Deer, Barbara (Rob) Hessel of Calgary, Brenda Broydell of Marystown, Newfoundland, Rhonda Broydell of Red Deer, and Christine Broydell of Red Deer, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Lem was predeceased by his parents, Violet and Ernest Broydell. A Memorial Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home & Crematorium (6150 – 67 Street), on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m, with Reverend Don Lewis officiating.
