ERICKSON Leonard Walter "Wally" Erickson of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the age of 81 years. Wally was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on April 19, 1926. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce, two sons; Dale (Anna) Erickson and Darryl Erickson, five daughters; Darlene (Peter) Harder, Judy Hiles (Russ Belya), Bev (Lorry) Jones, Glenice (Mike) Gammond and Lonnie (Layne) Boothman, seven step-children; Diana Chelloes, Gordon (Cherry) Johnson, Brenda (Michael) Walker, Donna (Jim) Gray, Sandra (Dale) Flint, Linda (Dennis) Hayward and Theresa (Ed) Mazerolle. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren, forty-seven great grandchildren, one sister, Margaret Johanson as well as numerous extended family members. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Erickson, two grandsons; David Hiles and Dustin Harder, three brothers and one sister. Wally will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
