TOWNS Leslie Fredrick June 14, 1922-May 7, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend on May 7, 2007 at the age of 84 years. Les was born on June 14, 1922 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. After receiving his education, he went on and served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Upon his return he met and married Dorothy, the love of his life, to whom he was married for sixty wonderful years. He is survived by his wife Dottie, four beloved children, Vicki Rochat, Mary Lou (Ray) Senio, Tom (Jan) Towns and Kathryn (Bill) Townsend. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Margie, son-in-law Leon and son-in-law Jim. He will be sorely missed for his wonderful friendship and his ability to make people laugh. Many new Canadians will always appreciate the generosity and friendship they received from Les. A Memorial Service will be held at the Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 0B8 or C.A.R.E.
