Lorraine SMITH

SMITH Lorraine Smith (nee Flaro) passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Friday, August 12, 2005 at the age of 52 years. Lorraine was born on February 27, 1953 in Cornwall, Ontario. She will always be remembered as a woman who could put a smile on anyone’s face with the silly things she would do. Lorraine was always willing to help others in any way she could and she will be very sadly missed. She is survived by her sisters; Rita Post of Eckville, Joyce Johnson of Windsor, Ontario, Mary Daisy (Morris) Rivere of Red Deer and Marie Flaro-Gunus of Ontario and her brothers; Edward (Janice) Flaro, Charles Flaro, Leonard (Linda) Flaro and Renee Flaro all of Kitchener, Ontario. She is also survived by her uncle Carl Ladouceur of Red Deer, sister-in-law, Georgina Flaro of Red Deer, brother-in-law, Raymond Gallant of Okotoks as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her father, Leonard Flaro Sr. in 1955, her mother, Hilda Flaro in 1986, one brother, Herbert Flaro in 2001, one sister, Bernadette Gallant in 2003 and three nephews. Those wishing to pay their respects can do so at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 – 67 Street) on Thursday, August 18, 2005 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences can be emailed to: condolences @reddeerfuneralhome.com and will be forwarded directly to the family.
