MANDRUSIAK, Mr. Barry Wayne Mandrusiak, husband of Mrs. Cindy Mandrusiak of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Harmony Care Home, Red Deer on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at the age of 49 years. Barry was born on June 9, 1955 at Two Hills, Alberta. He came to Red Deer in 1979 and was married to Cindy Konopaki in 1980. He helped with the KFC family business for over 25 years. He was naturally athletic and enjoyed many sports, especially playing hockey and was a very talented goaltender. Barry is survived by his most precious gifts, his children; Christopher, Stephanie, Angela, Julianna, Brenden and Spencer and his wife Cindy, all of Red Deer. He is also survived by his mother Esther, his sister Barbara (Robert) Gaudet of Edmonton, his nephew Patrick Gaudet, his in-laws, John and Mary Konopaki as well as many extended relatives. Barry was predeceased by his father Alex Mandrusiak in 1966. Prayers will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
