CLINE Margaret Jean 1927-2008 It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer. Margaret is survived by her husband Don of 56 years, her sons Brett (Cindy) and Scott (Shaunna); sisters Myrtle and Grace; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her daughter Sheryl and sister, Christina. Born on August 10, 1927 at Bengough, Sask, she attended school in Bengough and post secondary in Regina. Margaret was an exceptional and dedicated secretary who worked for Industrial Acceptance Finance Corp., Dept. of Highways, Red Deer Public Schools and finally Scotia Bank. Margaret was a devoted wife, unselfish mother and a generous grandmother who supported everyone with her time, energy and positive attitude. Margaret enjoyed singing with the Waskasoos Chorus, painting, playing piano, square dancing, sewing and was an amazing cook. She loved playing card games, especially with the bridge gals, golfing with the ladies at Lakewood and volunteering for the hospital and the Lafthus. After retirement, Margaret and Don enjoyed 15 years as Snowbirds in California with old and new friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Red Deer Royal Canadian Legion. If friends so desire, memorial donations in memory of Margaret Cline may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4R 3S6. Condolences may be forwarded to the family at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. In living memory of Margaret Cline, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park.
