Margaret CRAYFORD

CRAYFORD Margaret Crayford passed away November 19, 2008 in Vancouver, BC. Margaret was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister. She was predeceased by Gordon, her husband of 47 years and will be missed by her daughters Anne Marsh of Port Coquitlam, BC and Dawn Friesen of Lacombe, AB; 13 grandchildren, Aaron, Kris, Jody, Jesse, Tina, Grace, Tobi, Cindy, Donaven, Elise, Elizabeth, Joe, and Micheal; 5 great grand children and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by one sister, Beatrice (Al) Berke of Edmonton and predeceased by her sister, Delia (Willie) Loesh of Calgary, her sister Josie (Norman) Morrical of Red Deer, and her brother David (Pat) Richardson of Calgary. Margaret was born in Rocky Mountain House. She grew up in the area and in Blackfalds. She later attended college to become a teacher and enjoyed 2 years at Bible school in Port Angeles. She started her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse and later taught in Clive for many years. She started the kindergarten in Clive, as well as working with special needs children. She spent many years as a Sunday school teacher at Grace Chapel in Lacombe and at Sargeant, where she held vacation bible school every summer. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, and making beautiful quilts for everyone. She loved playing games with her grandchildren and spent many hours reading to them in her special chair. She enjoyed time with friends , family and grandchildren. She will be missed by all. A celebration of life will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe on Monday November 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in the Lacombe Fairview Cemetery.
