WHITE Margaret Christina White It is with grateful loving hearts that we say thank you and farewell to our dearest Mom, Margaret Christina White, of Red Deer and Priddis, who passed away at the Sarcee Hospice in Calgary on Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Catherine Sinclair; four brothers: Kenneth, William, Charles and Peter; two sisters: Lillian and Grace; and grandson Jason Palmer. Still surviving her are: one sister, Donella Wagner of Saskatoon; Margaret’s beloved partner George; daughter Kay and children: Bradley, Kimberlee and Michael; daughter Mernie (Steve) and their children: Michael, Patty, and Stephanie; daughter Betty and her daughter Kailie; five great-grandchildren: Matthew, Ian, Dustin, Taylene and Jaiden. Two great-great-grandchildren: Soren and Lauren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in BC, AB and Sask. Our nana will always be in our hearts. Margaret was born in Maxville, ON in 1913 and moved with the family in 1914 to Valley Centre, Sask. (Marriott District). She moved her young family to Red Deer, AB in 1947, where she worked at Monroe and Baines, Darling Ladies Wear and later opened her own fur shop (Margaret's Furs). A Celebration of Margaret's Life will be held at Leyden's Funeral Home (17th Ave. & 2nd St. SW, Calgary) on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Special thanks to Dr. Steven Watson and the staff of Unit 62 at the Foothills Hospital and the staff at the Sarcee Hospice. In lieu of flowers, since Margaret was an avid bird watcher, donations in her memory may be made to Mountain Blue Bird Trails, c/o George Loades (167 Canterbury Dr. SW, Calgary, AB T2W 1H3), or to a charity of one's choice.
