WILLIAMS (nee Yule) Marian Euena (Marnie) passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2007 in Edmonton, Alberta. Born in Beaverton, Ontario on October 31, 1922 to Robert and Euena Yule, Marnie later lived with her family in Uxbridge, Ontario. She married Thomas Lewis Williams on July 14, 1944. A beauty in her youth, Marnie worked as a runway model in Toronto. Soon her husband's career as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces took Marnie to communities in several provinces. Marnie & Tom settled in Ontario, where they raised their family, and later moved to Alberta in 1974. Marnie was a gifted artist, and avid naturalist and a devoted birder. She enjoyed skiiing, cycling, skating and hiking before her illness. A talented seamstress, she volunteered many hours to the Red Deer Clothing Bank. Marnie was a life-long reader and enjoyed books about Canadian history. She was a member of the Historical Society of Alberta. Predeceased by her husband Tom in 1984, her son Trevor in 1986 and her brother Glen Yule in 1998, she leaves her daughters Dianne Mascardelli (Denis), Rhonda Williams (Al Porter), Holly Rodgers (Bob), her grandchildren Katharine McCauley, Brock Mascardelli and Jason and Eric Rodgers as well as her sister Gwen Finbow (Gord) and her sister-in-law Barbara Yule. In accordance with Marnie's wishes, no service will take place. The family gratefully declines memorial tributes.
