SPARKS Marie Monique (Francine) Red Deer, Alberta Francine Sparks died December 17, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Douglas Sparks and the mother of 2 children and 3 step children. Born in Montreal, Quebec, November 13, 1940, she was the Daughter of Lucien and Lucette Brousseau. Francine moved to Edmonton in the early 70’s looking for some excitement and met Doug in 1976. Once married, Francine was well known for her superb cooking, hostessing, and homemaking abilities. Besides her husband of 30 years, Francine is survived by: her daughter Nadine Smith of Grande Prairie, her son Martin Sparks of Edmonton and step children: Angela Penner of High Level, Daryl Sparks of Calgary, Daren Sparks of Edmonton and a total of eight grandchildren. Francine also leaves her brother, Gilles Brousseau in Montreal, Quebec. The funeral will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Friday, December 21st at 1:00 pm – 5115-50th Ave. Ponoka, AB.
