GERMAIN Marilyn Germain Glenn (nee Schafer) of Red Deer, passed away suddenly at home on March 3, 2005 at the age of 63. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by numerous family and friends. Marilyn was born in Macklin, Sask. March 25, 1941 to George and Anastasia Schafer. They moved their young family to Benalto in 1949. This is where the family grew and many still reside. Marilyn enjoyed socializing with her many friends. She enjoyed her bingo and was a devoted member of T.O.P.S AB615. Like her mother, she looked forward to time spent with her family especially her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Clemant, her children, Mary Gehrtz (Dennis), Carol Kelly, Debra Glenn (Martin), and Kevin Glenn, grandchildren, Robert, Cynthia, Daemond, Crystal-Jade, LaRae, and Kristina, her father, George Schafer and siblings, Anthony (Cheryl), Marjorie (Larry) Trembay, Dennis (Susan), Audrey (Ted) Lightbown, John, Jerome (Linda), Dorothy (Adrian) Vig, Basil (Deb), Peter (Irene), Kathy (Mario) Renaud. Marilyn was predeceased by her mother, Anastasia, brothers, Mark and Valentine Urlacher and Shelley Schafer. A prayer service will be held Monday, March 7, 2005 at the Benalto Hall at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Services will be held with lunch to follow on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Benalto Community Hall with Inurnment to follow at the Benalto Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Heart and Lung Association.
