VAN ERP Martin Henricus Van Erp of Blackfalds, formerly of Bowden passed away suddenly while camping in Drumheller, AB on Saturday, August 4th, 2007. Martin was 47 at the time of his passing and had been suffering with health issues for the past couple years. Marty had a great love of the outdoors, with much of his spare time being spent camping, fishing and hunting. He had many memorable trips with different groups of friends. He was also involved for many years with Ducks Unlimited in Innisfail. Martin was employed for over 20 years with UFA in Innisfail and was very dedicated to his job. At the age of 40 a new chapter began for Marty when he found love with Brenda and in 2002 the love of his life was welcomed into the world, his beloved daughter, Rianna. He is survived by "his girls" partner Brenda and their daughter Rianna; his mother Jean Van Erp; brother, Henry (Tammy); sister, Betty (Allan) Moffat; nieces and nephews Jenny, Sandi, Jordan and Rory, Shea and Michael. He will also be dearly missed by his second family Jean, Lionel, Brian Veldkamp & Pam Mitchell and their families as well as many friends. A Prayer service will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Innisfail, (4304 49th Ave) on Friday, August 10 at 7:00 pm. Cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held at the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion (5108 49th Ave) on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial tributes can be made to the Innisfail Hospital, (5023 42nd Street, Innisfail, AB.
