JOSLIN Marvin Lee April 14, 1931 - Dec. 31, 2006 Marvin passed away December 31, 2006 in the Stony Plain Hospital. Marvin was born in Clive, Alberta April 14, 1931. He grew up and lived in Clive. His first jobs were working for the local merchant and creamery. He moved to Red Deer to work for British American Oil. Marvin came back to Clive to help run Earl's Corner Service with his father and brothers. He then moved back to Red Deer and worked for the Red Deer Co-op Assoc. He worked there for several years before moving to Edmonton to continue his career in Dry Goods with the Edmonton Co-op Assoc. Marvin took long term disability due to health problems and continued to live in Edmonton for a few years before moving to an acreage south of Spruce Grove where he continued his hobby and love of gardening and growing flowers, especially, lilies. He was very active in several organizations dedicated to lilies and other perennial gardening and won several awards. Marvin is survived by his sister, Nettie Harris of Red Deer, Alberta; nieces, Arlene Thoreson (Todd), Leanne Labercane (Rene); nephews, Bob Parsons (Sheri), Doug Parsons (Sylvia); brother, Evertt Joslin (Marion) of Red Deer, Alberta; nephew, Greg Joslin (Rene); nieces, Barb Joslin, Carmen Ware (Brian); sister-in-law, Theresa Joslin of Clive, Alberta; niece, Della Nitschke (Ross); nephews, Mitchell Joslin, Bill Joslin (Jocelyn). Marvin also had 22 great-nieces and nephews. Marvin was predeceased by his father, Earl; mother, Ruby; brother, Lorne and brother-in-laws, Roy and Al. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007 from Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502-44 Avenue, Sony Plain at 2:00 p.m. If friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Charity of Donor's Choice.
