EDGAR Mary Elizabeth Alma (Sue) (1916 - 2005) Born during World War I, Mom grew up in the hills of Drumheller surrounded by a large family and many close friends. She graduated from nursing at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary and was named Class Valedictorian. Mom married Harry Pearce, her first love, and had a daughter Judith Anne. Mom lost Harry in World War II during a bombing mission. After the war, a handsome young farmer, Les Edgar, won her heart and they had another 3 daughters, Beth, Lynn and Pat. Life was good on the farm and Mom adapted quickly to the challenges. We remember the hours she spent preparing delicious meals and delivering them to the harvest crews in the field. Les passed away suddenly in 1977 and Mom spent many years traveling with her friends and family. She was an avid curler and involved in many community activities: Knox Presbyterian Church, the
